More Quezon City (QC) residents can now receive financial aid from their local government via PayMaya as Quezon City announced a faster way to register under its Kalingang QC program. The Quezon City local government has previously tapped PayMaya for the disbursement of allowances for its student scholars. It was among the first LGUs to utilize digital payments via PayMaya for more efficient delivery of government services.

Senior citizens, persons with disability, and solo parents can register through the Kalingang QC online payout site (http://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/) and just choose PayMaya as payment method option. They just need to input their mobile number linked to their PayMaya accounts. Creating a PayMaya account is also easy as they can just download the app to register to be able to access a wide array of digital financial services.

Encashing funds will also be more convenient with PayMaya as the beneficiaries can simply go to any one of the over 30,000 Smart Padala agents near them. They can also use the funds they have received to buy groceries online, purchase airtime load and data packages, send money to their relatives anywhere in the country, transfer to any of the more than 40 InstaPay bank partners or withdraw from any Bancnet ATM using a PayMaya physical card.

"Quezon City joins other local government units who are finding innovative solutions to the unique problems we face today, particularly in providing financial aid to communities and families who need it the most during this time. As we all face the effects of this pandemic that have severely impacted many lives, it's important for government to ensure that no one is left behind, which is an integral part of our 'financial inclusion' mission at PayMaya," said PayMaya Founder and CEO Orlando B. Vea.

PayMaya is leading the charge in enabling Filipinos to quickly and conveniently accept financial aid from national government agencies and local government units as the entire country grapples with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. On top of Quezon City, PayMaya has been the platform of choice to disburse financial aid to select residents of Manila, Mandaluyong, Caloocan, and Pasig City, among others. It has also partnered with the Social Security System (SSS) for its Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS) program as well as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for disbursements of its Assistance to Individuals in Conflict Situations (AICS) fund.

Aside from this, PayMaya has previously worked with government agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), PAG-IBIG Fund, SSS, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Science and Technology to enable them to accept cashless payments via card and e-wallets through their respective online portals, making it easier for Filipinos to transact with the government and for these agencies to deliver better service to the public.
